Longton’s Pool, Hatton Lane, is OPEN

After a great deal of hard work by Pat Colgan, Ron Garner and Bob Norris, Longton’s Pool is now OPEN FOR FISHING.

A small gate has replaced the old stile that led to the pool, (the key used to open the gate at Heesom’s Pool also opens the lock on this gate). Also sturdy wooden fishing platforms have been installed and a number of bushes and trees around the water have been cut back.

Please note that:

·       Parking is on the verge on Hatton Lane, only.

·       When approaching the Pool members must not walk across the ploughed field but must skirt around its edge.

·       Members must show their Club membership card to the landowner or his representative if asked.

·       THIS WATER IS CLOSED FOR FISHING BETWEEN 15^th MARCH AND 15^th JUNE, inclusive, each year.THIS WATER IS CLOSED FROM 15th MARCH TO 15th JUNE, INCLUSIVE.

   Description: This is a small farm pool with 8 pegs

  Location: Is about ½ mile from the village of Hatton, on the way to Daresbury.

  Car parking: is on the verge next to the field containing the pool.

  Stock: Roach, perch, crucians and grass carp
